I now offer both voice lessons and language diction coaching!
My name is Kinneret Ely, and I bring my experience and skill as a classical singer, which led to my large YouTube reach of 56,000+ views on my singing channel: https://youtube.com/KinneretEly
I speak English, Hebrew, Italian, French, and German, as well as intermediate Russian. I have built a wide repertoire that includes these languages, and can help with them, as well.
I’m here to help in areas including vocal health and technique, audition and performance anxiety, and repertoire.
To get to know me better as a teacher and singer, and see if we’re the right fit, here are posts of mine from my Instagram series, #TuesdayTips, in which I share information about singing: #TuesdayTips — Kinneret Ely
Please feel free to drop me a line! Half hour and hour slots are available, virtually from anywhere or in-person in NYC.

For more about my languages background:
I offer diction lessons in Italian, French, German, American English, Hebrew, and Russian.
I finished my Bachelor's degree cum laude at Hunter College, in New York, specializing in languages, literature, and history. In addition to that, I studied Italian at the Società Dante Alighieri in Siena, French at the Alliance Française in Paris, German at the Goethe Institut in Berlin, and Russian at the Derzhavin Institute in St. Petersburg.
I have built a wide repertoire, including Italian, French, German, and Russian repertoire. As a result, I'm familiar with the specific diction challenges in each, and can pass on my experience to help others in their studies. I love languages, and I have studied Italian, French, German, and Russian, to the point of reading literature in them, as well as conversing in them. I have also guided tours to Washington DC, Niagara Falls, and Philadelphia in Italian, French, and German, in addition to English and Hebrew.
I know firsthand that every student learns in a different way--some learn best visually, others aurally, etc. My background as an opera singer and in languages means I can both show how to pronounce words clearly, and explain how to create the exact sound I'm modeling (as far as teeth/tongue/etc positions needed to make them). (Important note: I will accommodate your vocal technique as much as possible, in showing you diction. I have no desire to change anyone’s vocal technique. For students of other voice teachers, I will gladly keep to diction only and not interfere with their vocal technique.)
In my teaching experience, I believe the best way is by adjusting my method of teaching with each individual student, to help them improve most effectively. Please drop me a line and see how we can work together!
